ABOUT US

Saudi Arabian Botanical Society (SABS) was founded in 2020 by Munirah  Al Hazani. Although Saudi Arabia seems to outsiders as a region void of  any flora, there are currently more than 2,000 species of plants known  to call it home. SABS has been tasked to preserve local plant species,  renew interest in botany, and to advocate for the participation of an  array of stakeholders.
